2 Men Arrested After Shots Fired At Deputies In Compton

COMPTON (CBSLA.com) — Two men who led officials on a brief car chase and exchanged gunfire with sheriff's deputies on Friday night in Compton have been arrested.

The pursuit ended in the 700 block of Laurel Street, at Wilmington Avenue, in Compton around 9:15 p.m. The suspects' car was reported to be stolen. Officials said one of the men believed to be the driver fired shots at deputies at the end of the chase.

The suspects fled into a nearby apartment building, where a special weapons team assisted deputies in taking the suspects into custody.

No deputies were injured in the shooting.
