Two Hurt When Car Overturns In Downey

DOWNEY (CBSLA.com) — Two people were injured Friday night when their vehicle overturned at the intersection of Old River School Road and Florence Boulevard, police said.

Although it was initially reported that their vehicle had sideswiped a big rig, police later said the crash involved a smaller truck. The passenger in the overturned vehicle was briefly trapped, according to Downey police Sgt. Vince Rosario.

The two people in the overturned vehicle were taken to a hospital after the 10 p.m. crash as a precaution, police said.
