Twin Brothers Arrested In Connection With Fatal Stabbing Of Woman, 62

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they have arrested 18-year-old twin brothers in connection with a deadly stabbing in Exposition Park.

The men, whose names were withheld, are accused of fatally stabbing 62-year-old Maria Elena Rivas near the USC campus.

Security video from inside a Ralphs supermarket showed Rivas purchasing groceries Dec. 22, 2014.

Moments later, police said, Rivas was robbed and stabbed as she walked home.

The Los Angeles Police Department plans to hold a news conference Wednesday to announce further details about the case.

Booking photographs of the men suspected in the killing have not been released.
