Monument Unveiled In Honor Of Tuskegee Airman

ALTADENA (CBSLA) -- A monument was unveiled in Altadena Sunday afternoon in honor of late Tuskegee airman Lt. Oliver Goodall.

The ceremony was held on Harriet Street, where Goodall once lived.

The World War II officer is remembered for the powerful impact he made in Altadena and Pasadena.

This year marks the 10-year anniversary of his death.

The Tuskegee Airmen were the first African American military pilots in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
