Trump Denies Transition Disarray On Social Media

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Trump transition to the White House hit a new bump Wednesday after Vice President-elect Mike Pence ordered for registered lobbyists to be purged from the team.

The move has reportedly stalled the transfer of power.

President-elect Donald Trump took to Twitter overnight to address what he calls "rampant speculation" over security clearances for his adult children.

At the same time, Trump continues to move forward with the process of selecting members for his administration's cabinet.

Trump had not been seen in public for four days, until he walked into New York's 21 Club on Tuesday evening. Fellow diners applauded his appearance.

CBS2's Kara Finnstrom reported he broke protocol by not announcing the dinner to his press contingent.

Following the dinner, Trump took to social media to report his transition to the White House was "very organized."

Pence, who is leading transition efforts, spent the day at Trump Tower narrowing down a list of those who will fill key positions within the cabinet.

Inauguration Day is just over two months away.
