Tree Trimmer Electrocuted At Malibu Mansion

MALIBU (CBS/AP) — A 50-year-old tree trimmer was electrocuted Monday at a Malibu mansion.

The incident was first reported at 10:18 a.m. in the 24800 block of Pacific Coast Highway.

The part-time landscaping worker was cutting branches 25 feet up a tree when the pole of the tool he was using touched a power line, according to Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Philip K. Brooks.

Firefighters pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The death is under investigation.
