Trapped SUV Driver Rescued After Crash On 5 Freeway In Sun Valley

SUN VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A female driver was rescued from an SUV Tuesday night after a crash in Sun Valley.

Sky2's Kevin Takumi reports the accident happened around 10:45 p.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway at Lankershim Boulevard.

Los Angeles fire crews were able to get the trapped motorist out of the vehicle in about 15 minutes.

The victim was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Meantime, three southbound lanes of the freeway were closed. A SigAlert was issued for at least an hour.
