Transient Arrested In Murder Of Woman Whose Body Found In West Hollywood Dumpster

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A transient was arrested Tuesday in connection with the murder of a woman, whose body was found in a dumpster in West Hollywood nearly two weeks ago.

Pomona police arrested Abdulla Camran just after 11 a.m. after receiving a tip.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the 29-year-old was taken into custody in the area of Town Avenue and Arrow Highway.

Camran is being held on $2 million dollars bail and is expected to be arraigned Wednesday.

He's suspected of murdering 28-year-old Joie Nicole Kinney.

Her body was found in a trash container on July 6 in the 8700 block of Beverly Boulevard. The cause of death remains unknown.

Camran had been known to frequent homeless encampments throughout Los Angeles and the West Hollywood area, according to the sheriff's department.
