Transient Arrested In Connection With Vandalism Of Nearly A Dozen Cars

RIVERSIDE (AP) — Riverside police have arrested a homeless man after nearly a dozen cars were found with their tires slashed in a hospital parking lot.

Police found about 10 cars with slashed tires Friday morning in the physician parking lot at Riverside Community Hospital.

During the investigation, they received a report of more cars with slashed tires at a nearby state Board of Equalization office.

That's where 55-year-old Davone Somchith was arrested on suspicion of vandalism. He remains jailed.

Police didn't immediately reveal a motive for the attack.

Meanwhile, they're attempting to determine if other cars may have been vandalized.
