22 Marines Hurt During Training Exercise In Twentynine Palms

TWENTYNINE PALMS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say 22 Marines have been injured while training in Twentynine Palms, Calif.

The training exercise mishap Thursday afternoon involved the inadvertent discharge of a fire extinguisher system.

Officials said Marines and sailors from the 2nd Battalion and 3rd Marine Regiment were aboard the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center.

Those needing medical treatment were listed in stable condition, authorities said.
