1 Killed After Being Struck By Gold Line Train In South Pasadena

SOUTH PASADENA (CBSLA) — Authorities say a person was struck and killed by a Gold Line train in South Pasadena on Sunday.

The crash unfolded just after 7:30 a.m. at Pasadena Avenue and Monterey Road, according to Kim Upton, a spokesperson for Metro.

Upton said it wasn't immediately clear if the person had deliberately or accidentally walked onto the tracks.

Service in both directions was interrupted.

The identity of the deceased has not been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
