Trailer Stolen From Chatsworth Contained $250K In Artwork From Chagall, Matisse

CHATSWORTH (CBSLA.com) — Police asked for the public's help Tuesday in tracking down a trailer containing $250,000 worth of artwork.

A trailer stolen on Nov. 20 contained paintings, prints and sculptures from artists including Miro, Haring, Neiman, Chagall and Matisse, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Commercial Crimes Art Theft Detail.

The trailer was parked in an industrial park near Nordhoff Street and Alabama Avenue and is described as a 24-foot-long 2005 Haulmark trailer. The trailer has California plate number 4MB3828.
