Traffic Stop Leads To Suspicious Package Probe In North Hollywood

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police say they are investigating a suspicious package inside a vehicle on Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood.

The Los Angeles Police Department says the incident began Wednesday afternoon as a traffic stop conducted by a motorcycle officer.

According to the LAPD, the driver told the officer he had a bomb inside his vehicle, prompting officers to detain the man.

A bomb squad was called to investigate and authorities determined that a threat had been made, but no device was located.
