Trader Joe's Raw Almond Butter Recalled Over Salmonella Concerns

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The jars of raw almond butters at Trader Joe's often find their way into shoppers' carts as a lower-fat alternative to peanut butter.

But the market hailed as a lower-cost alternative to Whole Foods has issued a recall on some of their raw almond butters after being alerted by their supplier that the product may be tainted with Salmonella.

The following products have been included in the recall:

Shoppers who have purchased any of these specific items are urged to not eat them. They can throw them away or return them to any Trader Joe's for a full refund.

No other Trader Joe's products are included in this recall.
