Tourist Tax Takes Effect For All Travelers To Cabo

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) - Heads up for any travelers to Mexico - a hefty tourist tax starts this weekend.

All foreign tourists in Cabo San Lucas will have to pay an extra $18.50 a day.

You'll be able to pay at airport kiosks or online.

Mexico expects to raise more than $25 million a year from the tax, which officials say will go to residents living in tourist-heavy areas.
