TMZ: Bieber Look-Alike Found Dead Days After He Was Reported Missing

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Justin Bieber look-alike Tobias Strebel has died days after the 35-year-old man was reported missing, according to multiple published reports.

Strebel, who was also known as Toby Sheldon, was reported missing Aug. 18 after being last seen in the 1700 block of Orange Grove Avenue, police said.

Strebel, according to celebrity website TMZ, was found dead Aug. 21 at Motel 6 in the San Fernando Valley. His cause of death was not immediately known.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office confirmed to CBS Los Angeles that it responded to a motel in the 15700 block of Roscoe Boulevard in North Hills on Aug. 21, but provided no other details.

The office would not confirm the identity of the deceased and said it planned to release more information Thursday.

The LAPD similarly would not confirm the identity of the deceased as that of Strebel.

Authorities were notified Strebel was nowhere to be found after friends became concerned of his whereabouts.

Strebel has altered his appearance to resemble the 21-year-old Canadian singer and songwriter by way of plastic surgery.

TMZ reports that Strebel had appeared on "Botched" and "My Strange Addiction."
