Three Lake Arrowhead Homes Threatened By Flooding During Water Main Break

LAKE ARROWHEAD (CBSLA.com) — Three homes were threatened on Friday due to flooding caused by a water main break in Lake Arrowhead.

Shortly after 11 p.m. on Thursday, crews were sent to a lane located near the corner of John Muir Drive for report of a pipe that burst in the area.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, about 5,000 gallons of water flowed per minute.

Firefighters put sandbags around the homes in an effort to prevent flooding inside.

Shortly after 4 a.m., the water was turned off.

Authorities have not given an estimation time for restoration in the area.

No street closures were reported.
