Thomas Gibson Joins Twitter To Tell 'Criminal Minds' Fans He's 'Disappointed' Over Firing
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Former "Criminal Minds" star Thomas Gibson has joined Twitter to talk directly to fans of the show about his firing from the CBS procedural drama.
Gibson was fired from the long-running series last week after an investigation allegedly revealed that he got into a physical altercation with one of the show's writers and producers. Gibson reportedly kicked the producer in the shins while starring and directing in the same episode.
Variety reported last week it was the second time the actor was accused of getting physical with a co-worker since the show debuted in 2005. After the first such incident in 2010, Gibson was reportedly ordered into a series of anger management classes.
Gibson is scheduled to air in the first two episodes this season. It was unclear how his character of Aaron Hotchner will be written off the program.
While his Twitter account does not have the official blue check mark, Variety confirmed with his representatives that @ImThomasGibson is the actor's account.

Within a day of starting his account, the actor had 5,300+ followers.
On his Twitter account, he also linked to his official online page.
