Thermal Man Accused Of Child Molestation In Custody

THERMAL (CBSLA.com) — A 42-year-old man accused of child molestation was in custody on Saturday.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, deputies from the Thermal Sheriff's Station responded to a report of past child molestation around 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the 54500 block of Shady Lane.

Subsequently, detectives were sent to the residence and an investigation began.

It was unclear how many victims were discovered during the investigation.

According to deputies, Bonifacio Andres Cruz was arrested around 1:30 p.m. on Friday for multiple counts of child molestation.

He was booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio. It was unclear if a date has been set for his arraignment.
