Tesla Slams Into Honda Civic, Killing 2 People In Gardena

GARDENA (CBSLA) — Two people have been killed in a car crash in Gardena.

The collision happened at Artesia Boulevard and Vermont Avenue just before 1 a.m. Sunday morning. A man and a woman both died in the crash.

Investigators say they were in a Honda Civic when a Tesla slammed into the driver's side. Two other people were taken to a hospital. There was no word yet on their condition.

It's not known yet whether alcohol or speed played a role in the deadly crash.
