Temple City High School Softball Coach Accused Of Sex With Minor

TEMPLE CITY (CBSLA.COM) — A high school softball coach is expected to appear in court to face charges of sexual contact with a girl who once played on his team, authorities announced Tuesday.

Ryan Frontino, 31, of El Monte, a junior varsity softball coach at Temple City High School, was arrested after the girl's mother found sexually explicit messages on her cellphone and alerted police, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigators said.

Frontino admitted to contact with the girl, investigators reported.

He will face charges June 9 of unlawful sex with a minor. He has posted $260,000 bail and was released May 30.
