Television Academy Honors Veteran Anchor Pat Harvey With Governors Award

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) – The Television Academy just announced that CBS2's Pat Harvey will be this year's recipient of the prestigious Los Angeles area Governors Award.

The Governors Award is the most prestigious honor given by the TV Academy and its L.A. area Governors Award committee for outstanding achievement in television over a period of years.

"Pat is an iconic figure in Los Angeles who has made invaluable contributions through her work at CBS2 and KCAL9, and philanthropically in the community," Television Academy Chairman and CEO Bruce Rosenblum said. "She has been at the forefront reporting on the critical news stories facing our city, and her professionalism and integrity as a journalist makes her a deserving recipient of this year's Governors Award."

Harvey will be presented with the award at the LA area Emmys on July 25 at The Skirball Cultural Center.

The full list of nominations for the 67th L.A. area Emmy Awards will be revealed at midnight Thursday on Emmys.com.
