Tejon Ranch Outlets Set To Open Thursday

TEJON RANCH (CBSLA.com) — A new outlet center is coming to Southern California for the first time in over a decade.

KCAL9's Adrianna Weingold stopped by the Outlets at Tejon on Wednesday to check out what luxury bargain shops will be available starting Thursday.

The outlets will feature 70 shops that vary from Calvin Klein, Hot Topic, Pottery Barn and H&M just to name a few.

"This is the biggest event in Kern County in decades," said Barry Zoeller, Vice President of Corporate Communications and Marketing for Tejon Ranch Co. "We have just a great mix for men, women, children, shoes, accessories for the home, a little bit for everyone."

According to developers, the $90 million project has created 2,500 jobs for employees anxiously awaiting the grand opening.

Zoeller said that as many as 10 million shoppers are expected per year and that other retailers and hotels have expressed an interest in the area.

The center is off the Interstate 5, about 45 minutes north of Santa Clarita.
