Teen Bicyclist Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Florence

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle that allegedly struck and killed a 16-year-old teenage boy riding a bicycle in the Florence area.

California Highway Patrol Officer R. Kuithe said the boy was traveling southbound in the 6700 block of Converse Street when he was hit.

The accident happened Friday afternoon about 3:35 p.m.

Kuithe said the boy died at the hospital. His identity was not released.

No further information was available.
