Taco Truck Punches Through Center Divider Of 101 Freeway In Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A taco truck struck the center divider of the Hollywood (101) Freeway in Hollywood Monday morning, sending debris flying onto both sides of the freeway and prompting a brief freeway closure.

The crash was reported at 3:08 a.m. on the northbound Hollywood Freeway north of Cahuenga Boulevard, California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig said.

The truck apparently was heading south when it lost control, punched through the center divider and ended up in the northbound lanes. Debris from the crash flew onto both sides of the lanes, and a SigAlert was issued at about 3:30 a.m., shutting down the entire freeway so the scene could be cleaned up.

Both sides of the freeway have since reopened.

No injuries were reported, she said.
