Sylmar Man, 47, Pleads No Contest To Lewd Act On Toddler

SAN FERNANDO (CBSLA.com) — A 47-year-old Sylmar man pleaded no contest Thursday to committing a lewd act on a toddler at a home day care facility operated by his mother.

Israel Sanchez was sentenced to six years in prison, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office. He will also be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Deputy District Attorney Laura Knight-Jackson said the crime happened in 2013 when the girl was between 18 months old and 2 years old.
