SUV Winds Up In Pepperdine University Swimming Pool

MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said an SUV somehow wound up in a swimming at Pepperdine University Saturday.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee was reported in the pool at 6:25 p.m. on the Malibu campus at 24255 Pacific Coast Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

It was unclear if the vehicle in the pool was the result of an accident or an intentional act, the CHP said.

No injuries were reported, said Dispatch Supervisor Bernard Peters of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The pool is 35 to 40 feet off the roadway, the CHP said. It called for a tow truck with 60 feet of cable to pull the Jeep out of the pool.
