Suspicious Package Reported At Criminal Courts Building In Downtown LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A downtown Los Angeles intersection was shut down Friday after a "suspicious package" was found at the Criminal Courts building.

The discovery was first reported at 11:32 a.m., Los Angeles police Officer Tony Im said. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department shut down Spring and First streets and Spring and Temple streets and dispatched a bomb squad.

No evacuations have been ordered as of 12:45 p.m., sheriff's spokeswoman Deputy Grace Medrano said.
