Suspects Sought In Series Of Huntington Beach Residential Break-Ins

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police Wednesday were asking for the public's help in solving more than 20 residential burglaries that have occurred over the last two months in Orange County.

The break-ins have occurred throughout the city, usually during the afternoon or early evening hours when no one was home, Huntington Beach police said.

"The suspect(s) often entered the homes through a side or rear door/window and the loss is usually small items such as jewelry," Lt. Mitch O'Brien said.

Police believe in at least one incident, three men used a white Jeep Wrangler as a getaway vehicle.

A small white car was also seen during other thefts.

Authorities warned residents to lock all doors, including doggy doors.

Anyone with information about the incidents was asked to call the Huntington Beach Police tip line at (714)375-5066.
