Suspects Sought After 3 Hit By Pellets In Newport Beach

NEWPORT BEACH (AP) — Investigators in Orange County are searching for suspects after people were shot with pellets in three incidents in Newport Beach.

Police say a man loading a van Sunday at about 7 p.m. told detectives he heard something strike the vehicle before he was hit in the chin.

Later Sunday, at about 10 p.m., a man reported being struck in the back while getting into his car. And on Monday afternoon, a man was hit by pellets on an inner bicep while jogging.

All the injuries were minor.

Newport Beach Police have not identified a motive or released suspect descriptions.
