Suspected DUI Driver Injures Deputy On 14 Freeway

PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — A deputy was injured Saturday evening after a suspected drunk driver crashed into his patrol car on the 14 Freeway.

Officials said "the deputy is up and walking around." His injuries were described as minor.

The suspected drunk driver reportedly hit several vehicles just east of Palmdale Boulevard just before 9 p.m.

No other injuries were reported.

Two lanes of the southbound 14 was shut for an hour while the crash was investigated.
