Officials said Estes was arrested after an "extensive" investigation that began immediately after the shooting.

Authorities said evidence related to the crime was seized after a search warrant was issued for Estes' home.

The Sheriff's department said they received several 911 calls around 2:30 a.m. on March 27 about shots being fired at the hotel located at 880 South Westlake Boulevard.

No one was injured during the shooting.
