Suspect In Standoff, Bank Robbery Surrenders In Anaheim

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — A bank robbery turned into a brief standoff with police in Anaheim Monday.

The robbery was reported at 9:09 a.m. at Wells Fargo, 1662 N. Raymond Ave., according to Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt.

The suspect, whose name was not immediately released, did not show a weapon, Wyatt said. Employees in the bank at the time retreated to a back room and locked themselves in as they called police.

Police arrived before the suspect left the bank, and then he refused to come out until about 10 a.m., Wyatt said.
