Suspect In Crime Spree Possibly Linked To WeHo Armed Robbery

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A suspect in a violent month-long crime spree across the Southland may be linked to an armed robbery in West Hollywood late last month, police said Monday.

Investigators say Artyom Gasparyan, 29, is a possible suspect in a robbery and shooting that occurred on the 1000 block of North Kings Road on Dec. 29, according to Acting Capt. Sergio Aloma of the West Hollywood Sheriff's Department.

Gasparyan has also been linked by authorities to a deadly drive-by shooting in Van Nuys, two shootings in Burbank and a carjacking and hostage situation in Long Beach in which three people were injured.

He's been spotted driving a 2011-2014 silver Volkswagen Jetta in "several of the crimes" allegedly committed by Gasparyan, Sheriff's investigators said.

Gasparyan is described with black hair and brown eyes, 5-foot-7 and about 170 pounds.

He is believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be contacted by the public if seen, authorities said.

Anyone with information on Gasparyan's whereabouts is asked to call Detective Jones at the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station at (310) 358-4033.
