Suspect Critical After Allegedly Getting Into Physical Confrontation With Anaheim Police

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com)  —  Anaheim Police said a suspect they got into a physical confrontation with on Saturday is in critical condition.

On Saturday, police said they received a call about a suspicious male who followed a woman to her home in the 2600 block of W. Broadway Avenue around 9:15 a.m.

While confronting the man, now identified as 24-year-old Vincent Valenzuela, a physical fight ensued.

Police said while attempting to take Valenzuela, an Anaheim resident, into custody he went into "medical distress."

Officers said they began life-saving measures and called paramedics.

Authorities said video files of the officers' body cameras have been sent to the DA's office for review,
