Suspect At Large Following Stabbing In Hemet

HEMET (CBSLA.com)  —  A pedestrian was stabbed early Saturday morning in Hemet.

Officials said the suspect fled and has evaded capture.

The victim has minor injuries, according to authorities.

Police were called to the intersection of Palm and Acacia Avenues just after 3:05 a.m. in regards to a stabbing call.

The victim (no gender or age was released) was taken to a hospital for treatment of what Hemet Police Sgt. Glen Brock described as non-life threatening injuries.

Police remain tight-lipped about the incident but said the investigation is on-going.

Police are unsure if charges of assault or attempted murder would apply, Brock said.

The stabbing implement was also not disclosed but Brock said the weapon was not recovered at the scene.
