Suspect Arrested In Shooting Death Of Long Beach Man

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 44-year-old Long Beach man.

Joseph Hector Duhon, 67, was taken into custody just before noon Saturday, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide Bureau detectives stated in a press release.

Duhon is suspected in the murder of James Scott, whose body was discovered around 5 a.m. Wednesday in the 3300 block of Marine Avenue, in an unincorporated area of Gardena.

He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

Duhon is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

The investigation is ongoing.
