Suspect Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Santa Ana Man At Construction Site

IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — A 21-year-old suspect accused of murdering a man at a construction site in Irvine has been arrested, police said Friday.

According to the Irvine Police Department, Jacob Michael Margo, of Santa Ana, was arrested on Thursday after multiple search warrants were served.

Officers said Margo is accused of murdering Octavio Jesus Alcala, 19, of Santa Ana, on the morning of June 5, 2015, at a construction site located in the area of Wolf Trail and Orchard Hills.

Upon arriving to work that morning, employees found Alcala's body lying face-down in a remote, graded construction area that did not have any buildings. The Irvine Police Department was notified and officers responded to the scene.

Authorities have not yet clarified the cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
