Surveillance Footage Released To Help Track Down Armed Bank Robber

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police hope surveillance video will lead them to a woman who held up a West LA bank at gunpoint.

On Jan. 28, the woman stepped into a bank in the 100 block of North La Cienega Boulevard and handed a teller a handwritten note, demanding cash, the LA Police Department reported. She then pointed a handgun at the teller, who handed an undisclosed amount of cash.

LAPD detectives suspect she may be linked to five other heists.

The suspect was described as African American, in her late 30s and between 5-foot-2-inches and 5-foot-4-inches tall. She weighs between 120 and 140 pounds.

She was wearing a long wig and sunglasses, the LAPD reported.

Police warn the suspect is armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about her identity or whereabouts was asked to call detectives at (213) 486-6840.
