Summer Weather Sweeps Into Southern California Ahead Of Solstice

LOS ANGELES (AP) —Summer weather is arriving in Southern California ahead of Sunday's solstice.

Forecasters say a high-pressure system moving in Thursday will bring hot, dry conditions along with gusty winds to greater Los Angeles.

The National Weather Service says the hottest days will be Friday through Sunday. Temperatures will rise into the 90s in many areas, with triple digits expected in the valleys.

Gusty winds and low relative humidity levels will bring an elevated risk of fire danger.
