Study: OC Is Third Priciest Housing Market In America

ORANGE COUNTY (CBSLA.com) — Orange County is the third most expensive housing market in the country, according to the National Association of Realtors.

The median price for a home in OC was $691,000 during the second quarter of this year.

Four of the top five most expensive markets in American are in California, the group said.

San Jose ranked No. 1, followed by San Francisco, Honolulu and San Diego.

Los Angeles County came in ninth with a median home price of $420,000.

The Inland Empire ranked 21st with a median price of $274,000, making it pricier than Miami and Chicago.
