Rescuers Airlift Several Stranded Hikers From Cliff In Eaton Canyon

EATON CANYON (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say at least 9 hikers have been rescued after becoming stranded in a major canyon in the San Gabriel Mountains.

Officials received a call about 6:34 p.m. Thursday of the hikers, who were stranded on a cliff at 2,000-feet in Eaton Canyon in Pasadena.

Footage showed the mass rescue of the hikers, who were dropped off at Farmworth Park.

It appears no one was injured, but remains unclear how the hikers became stranded.
