Police: Suspects In Stolen Vehicle Run Into Church To Evade Capture

MONTEREY PARK (CBSLA.com) — At least one person has been taken into custody after several suspects ran through a church during services Friday night, authorities said.

The incident in the 800 block of Atlantic Boulevard unfolded after police say they attempted to pull over a vehicle reported stolen.

Rather than complying, an undisclosed number of suspects fled from the vehicle and ran into the church, police said.

One suspect was detained, according to police, who broke down their perimeter sometime after 8 p.m.
