CHP Contacted By OnStar System To Help Catch Stolen Vehicle Suspect

BELLFLOWER (CBSLA.com) — Authorities took a stolen vehicle suspect into custody Friday after a brief, slow-speed pursuit in Bellflower.

The chase began around 8:30 a.m. after California Highway Patrol received a call from in-vehicle security provider OnStar about a stolen car somewhere along the 605 Freeway, according to CHP.

Authorities located the vehicle and attempted to pull the car over near Clark Avenue and Foster Road when the driver failed to yield and initiated a slow-speed pursuit, officials said.

The unidentified male driver eventually pulled over and was taken into custody at Foster and Paramount.
