Stolen Motorcycle Suspect Leads Police On Chase Through Santa Clarita Valley

SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — Police chased a stolen motorcycle suspect throughout the Santa Clarita Valley Thursday night.

The chase, which often exceeded 110 mph, started at Canyon Road near Soledad Canyon Road, according to authorities.

After about 15 minutes, the chase ended just before 11 p.m. at Flowerpark Drive and Soledad Canyon Road.

When the chase ended, the suspect tried to foot bail, but Stu Mundel, reporting in Sky 2, said officials were never far from the suspect at any time.

Authorities said they originally noticed the motorcyclist was speeding. Mundel reported the plates came back as stolen sparking the pursuit.

The motorcycle was believed to be a 2007 black Yamaha.

The suspect,  a white male in a red t-shirt and blue jeans, was taken into custody without incident.
