Firefighters Battle Towsley Fire In Stevenson Ranch

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) - L.A. County firefighters are battling a small brush fire in Stevenson Ranch that ignited near the intersection of Calgrove Boulevard and The Old Road.

The Towsley Fire broke out around 3:50 p.m. Sunday. The blaze charred about two acres of brush, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Containment was reported about 4:45 p.m., Pitman said.

No injuries were reported and no structures damaged, he said.

County Fire will keep several camp crews on scene Sunday evening to handle any hotspots that flare up, Pitman said.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
