Samsung has released the following statement:

"Samsung takes product quality and customer satisfaction very seriously. Of the many front load washing machines we sell every year in the U.S., we receive very few customer complaints regarding cases of mold. In the owner's manuals for our front load washing machines, we provide instructions for proper product use and maintenance to prolong the life of the product and prevent cases of mold. We strongly encourage all of our customers to review and follow our guidelines as well as those recommended by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers. Any Samsung customer who has a question or concern regarding a Samsung product should contact us directly at 1-800-SAMSUNG."
