Stars Tweet Tributes To Joan Rivers As She's Remembered By Loved Ones At NYC Funeral

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Stars and fans alike took to Twitter on Sunday morning to pay tribute to Joan Rivers as star-studded funeral services took place in New York. The memorial service at the Temple Emanu-El was attended by Howard Stern, Whoopi Goldberg, Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, and Clive Davis, among others.

The comic legend died on Sept. 4, days after going into cardiac and respiratory arrest during a minor and routine endoscopy at a private clinic in New York. Rivers was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was placed in a medically-induced coma and on life support. Days later, she died at the age of 81.

The cause of death remains under investigation, officials have said.
