Stars Mourn Former Comedy Club Co-Founder, Stand-Up Comic Sammy Shore

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) -- Hollywood stars, writers, comedians and performers took to social media Saturday to mourn the loss of former Comedy Store co-founder Sammy Shore.

Well-known as a man who helped launch major comedic stars into orbit, Shore was also known as being an affable stand-up, a comic foil for his son, actor-comedian Pauly Shore, and one of show business' good guys.

Shore was 92.

The following statement was released by The Comedy Store: "The Comedy Store is grieving the loss of their founder, father and legendary stand-up comedian Sammy Shore."
