Stars, Fans Turn To Twitter To Wish Actor James Garner Goodbye

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com/AP) — As news of James Garner's death rippled through social media on Sunday, celebrities and fans posted their favorite memories of the iconic actor.

Garner, who was found dead of natural causes at his Brentwood home on Saturday, was adept at drama and action. But he was best known for his low-key, wisecracking style, especially on his hit TV series, "Maverick" and "The Rockford Files."

Actor John Stamos tweeted, "James Garner falls under the heading of, 'They don't make em like they used to' You were the f-----g coolest. R.I.P my friend."

Many remarked on Garner's character: He was the kind of man that men admired and women wanted to be with.

Some even attempted a little humor.
